I' am Carl van den Hoogen and I have been working on creative projects since childhood. After the period in which I made realistic pencil drawings, I switched to Indian ink and my style became increasingly loose and minimalistic. I began to appreciate the power of (seemingly simple) line drawings more and more. A few year ago I came across a website of an American artist who made wire sculptures. I was sold, that's what I wanted too.

It turned out to be the perfect combination. I could make a line drawing, but I still had to learn how to "draw" with wire. I mastered the technique through trial and error.
